Giant TCR Alliance 0 on the trainer

Got myself a Giant TCR Alliance 0 (or Natasha) for my birthday as a health investment. Ok, I’m tired of riding Nury (Giant Xtc SE) on the road, as she’s meant for more rugged stuff.

Wow, first time with a road bike, I seemed to blow my wad too early on the first lap. Need to try this again to see what’s my comfy speed level without over stressing myself. But overall, quite fun to ride on the road bike for this than using the MTB.

I’m quite happy with the speed I can produce with this thing, but I think I need more self control. I managed to shave off three minutes of time with the same loop as I did with my mountain bike, which I think I can do more, if I relaxed a bit. But pushing with Natasha is way too much fun to see how fast I can go.

Looking forward to more rides with this one.

Distance: 13.20 Mile

Bukit Timah hike starting from Dairy Farm

Full details @ http://connect.garmin.com/activity/21739492

Had some spare time, so decided to do this hike. Decided to walk towards the end of Cachement Path to see where it goes. True enough, it leads me towards the Mountain Bike Trail area. Lots of mud everywhere, including the MTB trail. Looking at the trail conditions, I was quite happy that I did not take the bike out, as I was somewhat dreading about the clean up I potentially have to do later on. I did, however, missed on the potential fun if I did get dirty.

As for Bukit Timah, I believed I’ve covered almost all of the trails it has to offer.

Dahon Biologic iPhone Mount Photo Review

December 25th, 2009 wari Comments off

Dahon Biologic iPhone Mount Review – a set on Flickr. For those of you curious about this iPhone bike mount from Dahon. One of the very few low profile mounts, that’s also weather-proof, and protects your iPhone from nasty hits. I’ve yet to fully use this, but overall, I’m happy with it. It does not block GPS signals, when I tried it for a while just now. I’ll do a more detailed version of the GPS capture between my Garmin Edge 705 and the iPhone on a later date.
