DC Rainmaker: Garmin Forerunner 110 Giveaway. Oh no, not again, another free giveaway, the last time, when it was the Withings scale, the chances of getting are so slim, so it’s probably just going to get worse
So try again then. Anyway, here’s some details of the Forerunner 110, it’s possibly as simple as you can get with a GPS watch. It’s meant for running, not cycling, but I’m sure no one’s stopping you from using it to cycle. The only drawback is that you see timing in pace instead of speed. As a recorder of heart rate, pace and distance, it’s as basic as you can get. But it is a bit pricey IMO.
There’s no support for ANT+ devices other than the heart rate monitor, so if you have the GSC-10 or the foot pod, forget it. But if people run with their iPhones using Runkeeper and are happy with it, the Forerunner will work a bit better (better GPS tracking + HRM) although it’s a more expensive device. Then again, price is relative depending on your point of view.
