This month has been very productive. I’ve lost about 1.5kg, and have done quite a bit of workouts. I’m starting to cross train a bit, adding jogging to my mix of exercises. I’ve never felt better.
There’s no MTB session at the last two weeks of this month as Ramadan is here, and we can’t go do the trails at night, although I’d love to try
September will not be easy to lose some weight I believe, as Aidil Fitri is coming, and that will usually lots of greasy food for like a week or two. Still, I’m not backing down, and I’m planning to complete week 2, 3 and 4 of the Couch to 5K program. To counter this, I’m going to add some core workouts on my recovery days, instead of watching the TV
So, wish me luck for September. I’m going to need it.

So this month I lost about 1 kg. Not really exciting news, but at least I’m getting somewhere. If I keep this up, I would definitely get down to my ideal weight in 30 months
I did eat a lot this month, and I don’t regret eating. At least I would try to control the intake, or try to exercise it off by walking for about 30 minutes or more, depending on where I am.
I’ve done a lot of biking this month as well, both on and off road. I do seem to enjoy more of the off road stuff. It’s like DIY roller coaster. Some painful uphill climbs, and then the payoff of great downhill runs.
I will definitely try to lose a lot more weight if it is at all possible. I aim for at least a steady 2kg a month. It will be a challenge, as Ramadan is coming in mid-August and historically, I’ve gained weight during the fasting month, and it’s not easy to put in exercise as part of the regime. We’ll see what happens.

List of activities for this month:

Black Pepper Beef Rice on Hot Plate
This food is exactly the same as the Spicy Fish Rice on Hot Plate except that instead of fried fish, we have grilled (or fried) beef, with black pepper sauce on top of it.
I was having this for dinner in anticipation for at least a 30 to 40km ride tonight, unfortunately, it was raining 30 minutes after I gobbled all of the food.
That really sucks. Should have consulted the weather report, or, eat less. Oh well.
If you are travelling in Singapore, your experience is never complete if you’ve never tried chicken rice.
Although the presentation looks simple, it’s the rice that is cooked in chicken broth that makes this dish tasty.
Have not had dinner so, I’m having supper before going for a long walk.

To fill my tummy for the rest of the night is the prata egg and prata kosong (no filling, just dough, fried). You usually dip this in mutton curry, or it tastes nice too with sugar.
Unlike pita, chapatti or naan. This food is very oily, and you almost feel guilty after eating. But a prata can last a very long time, up to 5 to 6 hours and you don’t feel full at all, just satisfied. Unfortunately for some people, pratas can make you visit the loo in the next 15 minutes.

Telur satu, kosong satu!
Well, today’s lunch was quite a lot. It’s definitely one of my favorite. White rice with egg and fried fish bits smothered with hot sambal. On the vege side there’s bean sprouts, some carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. I wished there’s more vege though.

Tastes good
Ate the chicken cutlet noodle for dinner. I don’t really fancy noodles, especially dry ones, like this one. But don’t get me wrong, it is tasty. Don’t like the fact that for $3.80, I got like 3 or 4 little pieces of chicken, but tons of noodles. Should probably just ask for a bit less noodles, as I felt rather full.

Simple yet nice tasting food.
Ate rojak for dinner, which is a kind of salad. I don’t really think this is healthy food as it is sweet and there’s lots of nuts sprinkled on it.

A salad of sorts
Contents are: pineapple, apple, turnip, peanuts, grilled tofu, peanuts and char kue (deep fried wheat flour)
